Here are our 7 tips for the last weekend in October, the Halloween weekend.
1. Halloween parties
The whole weekend is full of Halloween-themed nights. Starting with a Halloween rave in the Gewölbekeller, a drum’n’bass night in Gebäude 9, rap and R’n’B in the CBE and more deep house sounds in Helios37. Of course, there is still the biggest party in town at HALLE 2, so there is something for every spirit.
2nd Cologne Music Week
Cologne Music Week will be presenting exciting newcomers in the Belgian Quarter until October 29. Today, for example, PA69, Temmis and Becky Sikasa are playing, tomorrow Brockhoff, Tom Taschenmesser and Nothhingspecial will be playing. Never heard of these acts? That’s what it’s all about. Entry to all concerts is free of charge.
3rd Week-End Fest
After 2 years in the doldrums , the Week-End Fest is back. Let live bands and DJs take you on a musical journey on Friday and Saturday, from soul to singer-songwriter and house music. The whole thing takes place in the Stadthalle Köln-Mülheim.
4th The Q Taste
With all the calories you burn on the dancefloor and at the horror movies, you should eat some new ones. On Friday and Saturday at the gourmet festival The Q Taste, for example. In addition to drinks and food, there is also a show program. Just drop by.
5th Halloween Horror Weekend
If you’re a true horror fan, then you won’t want to miss the Halloween Horror Weekend at Rex am Ring. The Ring, The Thing, Night of the Living Dead, The Shining and Zombie – Dawn of the Dead will make sure you sink into your theater seats full of horror.
6th Studio F: Catacombs
There’s even more horror in the new FreAkademy show. Take a look behind the scenes of an abandoned studio where a group suicide is said to have taken place. The horror experience lasts 60 to 80 minutes and also includes comedic elements, ha, ha. Ha.
7th Cologne Comedy Festival
No joke: for 30 years, the Cologne Comedy Festival has been the place where the crème de la crème of the German comedy scene meets. The biggest names and newcomers: you can still buy tickets for many events until November 3. The complete list is available at this link.
