The first warmer days arrive and the attitude to life is immediately completely different. It’s immediately a hive of activity outside and everyone wants just one thing: to enjoy the sun. Fortunately, Cologne has a lot to offer, so there’s plenty to do. Here are 4 things we’re looking forward to in Cologne this spring.
1. get an ice cream at Gelateria Cafeteria Süd and go for a walk along the Rhine
One of the most popular ice cream stores in the southern part of the city is often very busy on warm days. And rightly so, because the ice cream here really tastes great. The Rhine is not far away, so you can combine a visit to the gelateria with a long walk along the Rhine.

2. feast on the terrace at Haus Müller
We’re staying in Südstadt for now and are looking forward to sunny lunch dates and cozy summer evenings on the terrace of Haus Müller. The rustic restaurant serves fine, modern cuisine. It really always tastes good here. Let’s go there!

3. long walks in the city forest
The city forest is a gem in Cologne. Here you can go for long walks and unwind. The park is also particularly suitable for sports, thanks to a number of fitness stations. A highlight in the Stadtwald: the Braunsfeld weekly market takes place in the middle of the park every Saturday. Here you can do your weekly shopping in peace and quiet on Kitschburger Straße.
4. enjoy delicious hot dogs at Frank Long’s hot dog forge
Do you like hot dogs? Then you’ll love the Hotdogschmiede in the MediaPark. Whether it’s a sunny lunch break or a quick, good dinner outside – Frank Long’s hot dogs always taste first class. Best of all, everything here is organic and made with love. And there are also hot dog variations for vegetarians.
