Fancy a trip this summer? How about dancing and partying? If you answered yes to both questions, we have a suggestion for your next destination. If not, that’s no problem. We’re talking about Bordeaux, in France – the soon-to-be European capital of techno, groove house and French house.
This summer sees the start of the Initial Festival, which is set to become one of the most popular electronic music festivals on the entire continent in the coming years. Over two days, July 9 and 10, some of the most successful international DJs will transform Bordeaux into a party paradise with their fantastic beats. It will be two days full of impressive visual shows, cultural events, endless parties and Europe’s best techno and house. A few days that you will soon remember with joy and say: “I was there”.

The Initial Festival has actually set itself the goal of becoming a Mecca for house music in Europe. To this end, the organizers have carefully selected and prepared the two basic elements of any great rave: the location and the line-up. As for the former, let’s just say that the festival will take place on an area of more than 20,000 square meters. The Parc des Expositions in the north of Bordeaux, which was chosen for the occasion, will feature three music stages, a chill zone, food trucks and much, much more. Of course, the venue is perfectly connected to the city center, and is only a short streetcar or train ride away.
More important than where the rave takes place, however, is who will be attending. And here too, the organizers of the Initial Festival are not letting themselves down. The line-up confirmed so far consists of Dave Clarke, I Hate Models, Cerrone, 999999999, Joachim Pastor, POPOF, Breakbot & Irfane, and Yuksek. In other words: the best of European techno, groove house and French house meets in Bordeaux.
The Initial Festival is a hot new addition to the summer music festival calendar, and we want to take a little trip there ourselves. And you shouldn’t miss it either. What’s more, there are even more groovy acts to be announced soon – so there’s even more to look forward to. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be able to tell your friends about how you danced yourselves into a swoon at the very first Initial Festival…
