A winter wonderland in the middle of Brussels

Every year in winter, Brussels is transformed into a winter paradise – literally. The “Plaisirs d’Hiver ” translates as “Winter Wonder” and is regularly listed among the most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe and even the world. In 2024, it attracted 4.2 million visitors. This year, it offers you “even more surprises and unforgettable experiences”, according to the official website.
There are 238 market stalls at the Christmas market in Brussels. The most beautiful markets in Cologne can hardly keep up with that. As every year, there is a huge Christmas tree on the famous “Grand-Place”, the main square. Every hour from 5 p.m., the historic façade of the square is illuminated with a huge light show. The “winter wonder” extends from the main square through the entire city.
