2. MAKK –Museum für angewandte Kunst
Das MAKK, gelegen im Herzen von Köln, zeigt, was den Menschen in seiner Außenwirkung definiert. Dazu zählen Objekte wie Schmuck, Porzellan, Möbel und auch Architektur. Das MAKK zeigt umfassende Sammlungen aus 800 Jahren europäischen Kunsthandwerks sowie eine 5.000 Jahre zurückreichende Schmucksammlung. Daher fühlt sich ein Besuch im MAKK an wie eine Zeitreise in die Vergangenheit. Wer sich für Architektur interessiert und gerne schöne Objekte bestaunt, ist hier genau richtig. 3. MOK – Museum für Ostasiatische Kunst
Das MOK ist eine Oase inmitten der Stadt und der ideale Ort, um dem Trubel zu entfliehen. Der japanische Garten lädt zum ausgiebigen Schlendern und Verweilen ein. Das MOK ist zudem das älteste Museum für ostasiatische Kunst in ganz Europa. Seit 1913 zeigt das Haus kostbare Kunstwerke aus China, Korea und Japan, und so fühlt sich ein Besuch ins Museum für Ostasiatische Kunst an wie eine Reise in eine andere Welt. Das Café im MOK mit Blick auf den Aachener Weiher bietet eine Ruheoase in der Stadt. Hier kann man ganz gemütlich bei Kaffee und Kuchen ausspannen.
